Sold - FINE & MOST UNUSUAL SABER OF FRENCH MLE 1822 TYPE BY WILKINSON, PALL MALL, LONDON

PLEASE CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW - MOST UNUSUAL SABER OF FRENCH MLE 1822 TYPE BY WILKINSON, PALL MALL, LONDON - manufactured the latter half of the 19th century with 88.5cm curved blade with fullers on each side and marked at the forte 'WILKINSON PALL MALL LONDON', three bar guard of 1822 type with brass pommel and spherical terminal, wire bound shark skin grip and contained in it's steel scabbard with chappe (marked in arabic script) and two suspension mounts with rings.  The whole in fine condition.  106.5cm overall.  The saber appears to be of very similar form to the French model 1822 (save the terminal) although unusually manufactured by Wilkinson, London?
