Sold - BRONZE NAVAL BLUNDERBUSS PISTOL, CIRCA 1790

PLEASE CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW - BRONZE NAVAL BLUNDERBUSS  PISTOL, CIRCA 1790 - converted from flint-lock and cast from one section of bronze with the barrel turned and swollen at the muzzle, under-barrel sprung bayonet, side mounted ebony ramrod with brass end cap and two ramrod pipes, border line engraved box-lock action simply engraved with trophies of arms, slab-sided butt stock inlaid with scrolls of silver wire (some losses), thumb safety and sliding trigger guard retaining the bayonet.  Metal parts to an overall age patina, the action functioning correctly with half and full-cock with strong springs and altogether a very solid piece.  Some wear commensurate with age and a two tiny inlet repairs to the stock.  29cm overall.  No makers signature visible
