PLEASE CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW - SUPERB AND FINE PAIR OF FRENCH RIFLED OFFICERS PISTOLS CIRCA 1840- with 18cm hexagonal swamped damascus barrels with 15mm multi grooved rifling with bead forsight and standing leaf rear sight and with traces of original guilding, engraved colour case hardened breaches and tangs with finials, flat sparcely engraved locks both signed in script by the maker "Bruel file aine', on the one and 'A Mouline', the other and with lions head cocks, both locks with strong traces of original colour case finish,  molded and figured wallnut stocks finely chequered at the grip and with molded band around the pommel, back plates engraved and coloured en-suite, steel mounts incluing broad trigger guard with finger rest and pineapple finial, piereced and engraved end cap, raised and engraved oval butt plate and steel ramrods almost certainly the originals.  Fine condition throughout retaing much colour finish and with clean well preserved rifled bores and tight actions.  All in all a quality pair. 35.5cm overall, 14inches. sold - sold - sold
