PLEASE CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW - FINE FRENCH RIFLED TRAVELLING PISTOL SIGNED 'BARGE A PARIS' CIRCA 1770 - with two stage round tapering barrel swollen and turned at the muzzel and rifled with 12 deep grooves, hexagonal breach embossed in gold with the owners monogram, stepped bevelled lock with border line engraved cock and top jaw the lock signed in script forward of the pan  'Barge a Paris' figured quality walnut stock with raised and moulded border around the lock, trigger guard and tang, long eared butt cap engraved with a swag of laurels and Liberty portrait in profile and relief on a speckled ground and engraved and moulded back plate.  No provision for ramrod.  24.5cm overall, 12mm caliber.  Excellent condition and quality, barrel retaining most of it's original blued finish, light patination to the lock, superb action with strong springs throughout and  quality woodwork.  Crack in the tang of the trigger guard.
