FINE AND RARE FRENCH QUEEN-ANNE POCKET PISTOL, SIGNED ALLEVIN, PARIS -CIRCA 1750

PLEASE CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW - FINE AND RARE FRENCH QUEEN-ANNE POCKET PISTOL, CIRCA 1750 - 3.5cm turn off two stage tapering barrel, turned and swollen at the muzzle, the inter-section between the barrel and the breach highlighted with engraved interwoven lines, signed at the breach 'ALLEVIN PARIS' in front of a sun burst, the upper-breach engraved with martial trophy, border line engraved action with foliage at the breach and the cock engraved ensuite, lined and foliate engraved tangs, trigger guard and frizzen and highly figured and moulded walnut butt stock of globulous form. Of the very highest quality workmanship and condition, formerly one of a pair, marked 2 at the breach and barrel. 9.5mm bore, 15,5cm overall.  The mechanism funtioning as new without any play and the barrel unscrews correctly.  The best pocket pistol I have owned by far - shame the other is not with it.
