FINE AND RARE FRENCH QUEEN ANNE STYLE PISTOL SIGNED CHARLEVILLE CIRCA 1770m-1790

PLEASE CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW - FINE AND RARE FRENCH QUEEN ANNE STYLE PISTOL SIGNED CHARLEVILLE CIRCA 1770 - 1790 - with 16cm smoothbore, two stage turn off cannon barrel (14mm at the muzzle), turned at the muzzle, hexagonal  breach section, radiused lock signed below the steel spring 'Charleville', walnut half stock and steel mounts comprising back plate, butt cap and trigger mechanism and guard.  The whole in fine condition, the metalparts with some very light surface age patination, sharpe angles, the whole appearing very little used with finely engineered lock, very precise and tight, the bore perfect and without fault, excellent barrel threads and nice quality woodwork.   Made for the civillian marked or Officers private purchase at the Charleville Arsenal more commonly associated with the manufacture of French service weapons and in particular the musket that beares it's name. This gun has seem very little or may be no use and is a rare example of a civillian pistol made at this factory.  36.25cm overall.
