French Target/Duelling by Nouvelle Fils a Limoges in approx 14mm
PLEASE CLICK IMAGE TO VIEW French Target/Duelling pistol by Nouvelle Fils a Limoges in approx 14mm with 23cm hexagonal twisted sighted barrel engraved at the breach with two pairs of lines with geometric patterns, iron tang engraved ensuite with the lock and having a single fixed leaf rear sight and engraved tang screw, border engraved stepped lock and hammer both engraved with spirals of foliage and inlaid in gold with the makers details, Nouvelle Fils a Limoges, fluted hardwood stock with steel butt cap and hooked trigger guard both engraved ensuite with the lock. A high quality weapon now needing a little tlc, with some small stock defects, barrel bolt escutcheons missing and some wear and small areas of pitting to the barrel. A very nice crisp action. However a very pleasing pistol which would certainly be worthy of some sympathetic restoration. 38.5cm overall.
