BUSSOLE - ALIDADE WWI Compass Alidade
A historic early 20th century compass clinometer marked "système du COLONEL PEIGNE" made by Delgrave et Cie, Paris.
Used by the French army during WWI this topographic instrument was used to calculate elevation angles for the passing of infantry, cavalry and motorised vehicles.
In excellent overall condition and in working order, the instructions are glued to the exterior.
The wooden case measures: 90 x 90 x 30 mm
